How appropriate the month of Gabby's birthday, her favorite TV pal, Barney comes to our area. Not only is it Barney, but Barney it's about Barney's Birthday. I wonder how old the Dino is considering he's a dinosaurs and they have been extinct for some time now. Last Tuesday, Gabby, her Nana, and I packed up and heading to Charlotte for the 3:00 o'clock show. Before going to the show, we stopped for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Gabby got a gourmet bowl of Macaroni and Cheese and shared a half piece of Adams Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake with me, which was oh so delicious I might add. So we arrive to the auditorium and thanks to my newest surgery, we were able to get front row parking near the entrance. Here's where the memory will last a lifetime. As we walk through the doors and hand the attendant our tickets, Gabby spots a gift shop setup selling Barney merchandise. Gabby walks over in amazement and say "Ohh Look, BARNEY!" I've never seen her eyes so big and full of excitement. Until this occurrence, I realize this was the first time she saw anything Barney related outside of the TV screen. I stood back while Gabby and Nana decided on what Barney souvenirs she needed so she would be all ready for the big show. Gabby decided on of course her first Barney dolls, a Barney light wand. She later ended up with a balloon and a Barney (reusable) bag. Well the show went off as a hit and Gabby set still the entire time in utter AWE and enjoyed the show, unlike the happy preschooler behind us and a few others who couldn't contain their excitement and had to run from their parents. We had a few heart droppers from the sound of exploding streamers and confetti but other than that it was a fun and entertaining Barney good time!
