Pretty excited for a kid who only got a lollipop
Today the family went to an alternative event called Lake Scare-O-Lina held in a local neighborhood by a church my SIL and her family attend and where I attend for a Women's Bible study. They had bounce houses, The Fun Bus (which is an old school bus that they turned into a little My Gym setting, cotton candy, Italian ice, and games and the awesome thing was everything was free. It was a great time for the kids to wear their costumes in a safe family setting and an opportunity for the church to minister to people. In case you are wondering Gabby's a Cat.  We're still working  on the sound "Meow" the only animal she knows now is a duck and a dog!

We're still here and Updates

1st time at the zoo for Daddy and G

Thanks to those of you that are still interested in our blog. I've been so consumed with trying to meet new people and become familiar with our new town and home.  Gabby just turned16 months a couple of weeks ago and BOY how much has changed with her.  She is so turning into a toddler; the way she plays her communication skills, and just the way she looks.  Gabby can now walk up and down stairs with very little help. She has a mouthful of teeth including her baby molars. Since we've been here we've enjoyed things such as the zoo, going out on the boat, going to play-dates, MOPS and Bible study and mommy has been more interested in going to the gym!  Here are some pictures of some of the different activities we've attended.

New Home

Home in NC

So since the family vacation we have moved from our home in NC to SC.  It was a quick move and we are still settling into our new place.  Ray is working here and I'm home with Gabby still trying to learn the area and meeting new people.  We will and do miss our friends in NC and pray we find neighbors, church family, and friends as great as the one back in North Carolina.

Family Vacation #2 Gatlinburg, TN

A few weeks ago, we along with Ray's immediate family went to Gatlinburg, TN which is apart of the Appalachian Trail.  This was the 1st time the Bristow's had visited the area.  I have to say we enjoyed ourselves.  We stayed in a 5bdrm log cabin that resemble the toy, Lincoln Logs and visited area attractions such as Dollywood (owned by the one and only Dolly Parton), Dixie Stampede (A show of a battle of the North and South with actors and actresses on real horses along while you enjoy a delicious southern meal from soup, salad, entree, and dessert), horse back riding, and whitewater rafting, as well as seeing nice local town shops and eateries.  Here's some pictures of our time in the Great Smoky Mountains of Gatlinburg, TN.

Vacation

Sorry, we're on vacation and in the middle of moving, so I haven't really had the time to catch up on my blog, but I promise when things settle down I will be back at it.  Thanks for being so patient! Can't wait to tell you about what all has been going on.

I apologize to anyone this still reading my blog.  Life has gotten very busy in the past few weeks. If you haven't heard yet, we're moving to SC next month so I've been busy, packing, cleaning, and prepping for our big move.  This is my biggest move yet!  I've packed up to move from 3 4 different apartments but moving from a house is a big deal I can tell already.  In the past couple of weeks I've kept my nieces (my brother's daughters) and Gabby had so much fun with them. I did too!  We also went on our fist couple of play dates which I will miss once we move. Pretty much we've just been enjoying the summer minus the 90 degree days!

Children's Museum of Myrtle Beach

On Saturday, (I'm tired of having to always type out "in-law" to describe family members, so from now on I will refer to my family by their name, you can figure out who is who because either way their my family) my sister Andrea and her husband Joel their 2 kids Savannah 2 and Cameron 7mos along with Gabby and I went to the Children's Museum of Myrtle Beach. This was the first time Gabby has ever been to a Children's Museum.  There were a good amount of things for her to enjoy there and she had a great time running around and I enjoyed not having to tell her to not touch this or that because everything was child-friendly. I play on taking her to the Children's Museum in WS and Greensboro.  I've never been to the one in WS but I used to take a child I babysat in college to the one in Greensboro and enjoyed it a lot.
