Week 21

I'm almost a week behind considering I'm entering into week 22 this weekend. Week 21 has been very interesting. I feel baby girl moving more and more everyday. So far she's moving more during the late evenings between 5-9. It's probably because it's not so loud and chaotic considering during the day I'm at school with 15 four-year-olds and banging toys. I'm having some sleepless nights, more than I would like. It's not that the baby is keeping me up but instead I can't stay sleep. I fall asleep well (I think because I've always slept on my side) but then around2:30 am I'm ready to get comfortable and want to roll onto my side, which is a HUGH NO NO! And can't sleep on my back, thus begins the rolling game where I am rolling from side to side until 5:30 am and I have to be up at 6:15. Other than that, the pregnancy is going well. Here's what week 21 had in store:

Week 20 and Nursery Update

This is week I'm in my 20 week of pregnancy, I made it over the first hump and have approximately 20 weeks to go. I'm feeling great and my belly is getting bigger and bigger.
week 20

I have noticed I'm a bit stuffy during the day, breathing harder, feeling the baby more and more everyday and Ray claims I'm starting to snore (hard for me to believe that when he's busy snoring himself :-) but I don't doubt it). This weekend my nieces came to stay and along with them their mommy brought me tons of baby stuff for our baby girl. Some of the stuff we're storing away because Mya and our baby girl are born between a 6 months difference therefore the season are off. Nonetheless I've VERY appreciative and grateful and sooooo excited. I went and bought Dreft (baby detergent) and washed everything just so I could start sorting clothes and putting things in the nursery. Here are a few things we've accumulated.

It's A GIRL! 19 weeks

So today I am 19weeks and 3 days. I had my anatomy u/s today. During this ultrasound, they go over ever body part of the baby to make sure he or she is growing properly. This is also the u/s that they determine the sex of the baby. So today we found out that we are adding yet another girl to both set of families. I took a second to absorb what she was telling me when I was laying on the table. I think it's because you go all this time knowing there is your baby growing inside of you yet not knowing who this little person is and in less than 5 mins the u/s tech says It's a . . .! Ray and I both described it as being surreal but also making it all a reality. Now that we know we are having our first child and it will be our first daughter we are excited and eager to meet her. Here's some pictures from the ultrasound today. Enjoy!

What an Evening!! :-)

What an exciting day, well after school ended! So my mother in law and I planned a little DIL and MIL afternoon , which I wish we got to do more often, to find fabric for the nursery. We first went to JoAnn's fabric store to see if we can find any patterns. With no luck there, she suggested that we just go look for fabric, we can find a pattern later, she said. So we leave and go to this fabric store in Colfax. We walk in and in front of us are hundreds of fabric, I look to my left into another room only to see more fabric, but it was just more fabric, there were fabrics that caught my eye! So we walk over to the fabric and I tell Rhonda, my MIL, "see this is what I'm looking for, I like something like this." We continue to talk about the fabric and what will coordinate with it (which I had no sense of doing). We walk around but nothing else catches my eyes. Eventually we make our way back to the initial fabric and Rhonda says, This will look great, all we need is a solid and stripe to go along with this pattern. I look at the fabric again and we check the prices. Great! Prices we're looking for. Then I look at the name of the fabric.....wait a minute, that sounds familiar, I'm thinking. I look in my purse to pull out a picture. "Rhonda, this is the fabric in this picture, this is was I like." We find the same exact fabric I was looking for without even realizing it. The only problem, we didn't see the stripe fabric that coordinated with the other pattern. We ask the sales lady, and you know what, they do carry the fabric! What an exciting day. We finish the evening with running a few errands and dinner at Olive Garden! What an evening! A simple girl is pleased by simple things!!
